Serving people in a loving and practical way — praise God for opportunities to do so. These acts change the world every day. They are awesome representations of Jesus, Who came to this world to meet us as we are, where we are. Check out the article below, where a friend and fellow labourer in Edinburgh is quoted, serving in the Street Pastors ministry here in the city. It is amazing to see the ‘interesting’ reception that any type of work that is in any way related to the church is received. Thanks so much Caroline. It’s a blessing to serve because Christ served me even when I was (am) a jerk.
Yep, when MBC street team started some of the publicity we got was less than helpful. But street pastors been going on in Aberdeen for a while now and been received really well.
I think the comments at the bottom were interesting. We live in the Bible Belt of the USA where outreach programs are not uncommon. I bet it seems pretty weird to folks who aren’t as used to it. I hope it goes well and is not a “dismal failure”.
Yeah, Laura Anne – One of my friends shared with me last year about how things were going really well in Aberdeen — that’s awesome. Might as well not expect a communal “whoo-hoo!” I’m sure it will be great, Annie Beth! Hope you and the wee ones are well!
